Inflatable Flamingos
They all sell the same things - the things mass tourism demands. From the latest craze of inflatable flamingos to oversized inflatable swans, cheap shorts nobody really wants, and giant inflatable tractor tires. It’s a colorful chaos of plastic and polyester, sun-faded signs shouting SALE! in five languages, and racks stacked with souvenirs that will be forgotten by next summer.
All captured the old-fashioned way: analog, with a Leica M6. Shot on Kodak Ektar 100 for that rich, punchy color — and Kodak Ektachrome positive film for the vivid blues and warm highlights that make the scene feel almost too real.
There’s something absurdly beautiful about it all. The sameness. The spectacle. The way a row of inflatable flamingos can look like art if you catch the light just right.
